TLS Visits the Houses of Parliament

January 17th 2018 Sir David Attenborough, our Patron, was guest of honour at the third TLS Westminster Reception for senior representatives from across the partnership. Hosted by Zac Goldsmith MP and chaired by David Cunningham (TLS Chair and Kingston Councillor), the meeting took place in the Thames Terrace Room at the House of Commons. It was fabulous that the SOS for Environment Michael Gove joined us alongside Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, Twickenham MP Vince Cable and Richard Benyon MP. It was a very productive meeting where we re-engaged with partners and set out a promising agenda for future strategic working. Outcomes of the meeting included the opportunity for Michael Gove to visit the TLS area to discuss how DEFRA policies are implemented on the ground with community and partner engagement.
