Thames Landscape Strategy - Hampton to Kew -

News

TLS Summer Event Home Park

In September the TLS tried something a bit different. For the Summer Event, our Friends of the Thames guests were invited to take a tour of the Home Park Paddocks Project. A SITA Trust funded project in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces and the Environment Agency, the Paddocks Project has seen over £200k spent on the restoration of the historic ditch and sluice system in the Royal Stud, and the restoration of the nearby reedbed. Arriving at Hampton Court Palace, guests were treated to a shire horse driven carriage ride down to the paddocks where TLS Project Officer, Becky Law, and members of the team gave a tour of the project.

Dispite the soggy conditions a good time was had by all.

The project is now nearing completion of stage one – please keep an eye on the website for further details.
