Opening of new Richmond Hill Telescope

On Thursday 6th September the Thames Landscape Strategy opened a new telescope on Richmond Hill. The Mayor for Richmond upon Thames Cllr Ben Khosa, Pat Spaight, Zac Goldsmith and Ellen LeCompt unveiled the telescope in the traditional Thames Landscape Strategy manner by the cutting a garland of ivy picked from Richmond Hill.   The telescope has been made possible by the London Borough of Richmond Civic Pride Fund and LBRuT Parks who funded the installation. TLS 23rd Annual Event was a royal success

The Thames Landscape Strategy Annual Event was held at the Nash Conservatory, Kew Gardens on the 11th June 2018. This was the 23rd Annual Event that we have had and it didn’t disappoint. It was a great privilege that we were able to have our patron HRH The Duke of Gloucester as the guest of honor alongside His Worship The Mayor of Richmond (Cllr Ben Khosa). TLS Visits the Houses of Parliament

January 17th 2018 Sir David Attenborough, our Patron, was guest of honour at the third TLS Westminster Reception for senior representatives from across the partnership. Hosted by Zac Goldsmith MP and chaired by David Cunningham (TLS Chair and Kingston Councillor), the meeting took place in the Thames Terrace Room at the House of Commons. It was fabulous that the SOS for Environment Michael Gove joined us alongside Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, Twickenham MP Vince Cable and Richard Benyon MP.
